What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine is a holistic, patient-centered, and individualized approach to medicine. Functional medicine combines the best of conventional medicine with evidence-based functional and integrative therapies. We are dedicated to finding the root causes and answers for patients, as well as giving them the tools to optimize their own long-term health.
What do I need to do before my first appointment?

Where are you located and what are your hours?
Our hours are Tuesday – Friday, 9AM-5PM. We’re located at 317 North El Camino Real, Suite 407 in Encinitas, CA. During COVID-19, we also offer telemedicine appointments to patients in the state of California.
Are you doing anything differently due to COVID-19?
Yes, we are taking every precaution due to COVID-19 and all appointments will take place via secure video conferencing. Telemedicine appointments are available to patients in California, Washington, and New York.
Where are you licensed?
Functional Medicine Specialists is licensed to provide care in California, Florida, Washington and New York.
